CHOMPI Club has published a discontinuation open-source release of the CHOMPI Mk1, putting the hardware and software source files for the portable sampler on GitHub so developers can build and customize their own units. The release includes the code, hardware files, and blank enclosure panels (artwork excluded) and arrives alongside WAVE, a beta 8-voice wavetable synthesizer firmware for the device. The company says it will not offer customer support for the open-source files and points users to a community Discord channel instead.
