The post corrects a 7 September update that said the project would continue with legal representation in place, which the maintainer now says was based on assurances that turned out to be untrue, and asks lawyers, organizations or anyone able to help to get in touch. Donations are directed first toward legal costs, with anything not needed for that supporting development of Nitter or its successor.
