Shaders puts its WebGPU rendering engine and components under the MIT license

Shaders announced that its rendering engine, all shader components and framework bindings are open source under the MIT license, arguing that AI is making it easier to create shaders and that this makes an open foundation more valuable rather than less, because people and their agents can build on production-tested WebGPU components instead of raw shader code. Users can now ship the components in personal and commercial client work, SaaS products and internal tools without a license, export code from the design editor for free with no limits, and write their own components in the published defineShader language, including submitting them back as pull requests. Shaders Pro keeps its paid curated preset library, pre-built sections, watermark-free video and image rendering, exclusive Discord channel and priority support, with pricing unchanged, and the company offered refunds or account credit to anyone who bought Pro in the previous 30 days solely for commercial use or code export.
