ThreatBook acquires open source AI penetration testing platform CyberStrikeAI

ThreatBook said it has acquired CyberStrikeAI, the Go-based open source AI penetration testing platform that has drawn more than 7,000 GitHub stars and, by public internet-scanning data, more than 3,000 instances in use worldwide. The agentic security company said it will keep the open source edition available and add safeguards against misuse, while launching an Enterprise Edition that deploys entirely on-premises with local data, full audit trails and permission controls for agent actions, framing automated reconnaissance and vulnerability discovery as capabilities defenders should have rather than have only attackers and APT groups.
